- April 26: King Robert the Bruce opened the first Scottish Parliament in Ayr.
- AUGUST 29: At today Montecatini Terme Montecatini at the battle will take place. Opponents are the cities of Pisa under their Hohenstaufen Mr. Uguccione della Faggiola and Lucca on one side and a coalition of cities of Florence, Siena, Prato, Pistoia, Arezzo, Volterra, San Gimignano and its Neapolitan allies under Philip I of Taranto on the other side. Winner of the dispute remain against all expectations, Pisa and Lucca. The town of Montecatini, which has previously been under Florentine rule two years, besieged and conquered by the Pisans.
