(133 ) Cyrene is an asteroid of the outer main asteroid belt, which was discovered on August 16, 1873 by James Craig Watson.

Was named the heavenly bodies to Cyrene, a female figure from Greek mythology, who was kidnapped by Apollo and transformed into a nymph.
