13th Street Universal

13th Street Universal ( own spelling: 13TH STREET Universal ) until 13 March 2011, known as 13th Street, is a German pay- TV channels. The station is operated by Universal Networks International, the end of 2010 NBC UNIVERSAL Global Networks Germany GmbH, based in Munich. The station is dedicated to the genres Thriller & Crime shows and series, feature films and short films.

In addition, 13th Street Universal is also active in the promotion of young directors. The transmitter has awarded the annual Short Film Award Shocking Shorts Award at the Munich Film Festival and has been co-financed almost 40 short films.

As part of the ongoing for quite some time realignment of the transmitter portfolio of NBC Universal, in Germany since 2011 Universal Networks International, 13th Street was renamed on March 14, 2011 in 13th Street Universal. With the name change is accompanied by a reorientation of the transmitter in Germany.

Productions

The transmitter's program was supplemented by in-house productions. So presented about Bela B. Astro -show Horrorskop the dark side of the zodiac. 13th Street Universal is to be received in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on the pay TV platform Sky and in Germany via the digital program offered by the cable network operator Kabel Germany, Unity Media, Kabel BW, Tele Columbus and primacom as well as the digital package of cable kiosks. In addition, 13th Street Universal receive via IPTV on the pay-TV packages from Telekom and Vodafone. In Switzerland, the transmitter via the cable network operator Cablecom, received at numerous smaller cable operators as well as the program platform Tele Club, in Austria at UPC, A1 cable TV and some cable operators via the cable newsstands.

Since 19 July 2011, the channel is broadcast in HDTV standard with cable Germany. An injection on Unity Media on March 15, 2012. Since 17 January 2013, the HD version can be received via Sky.
