(147 ) Protogeneia is an asteroid of the outer main asteroid belt, which was discovered on June 10, 1875 by Lipót schoolyard.

It was named after celestial bodies Protogeneia, who was the daughter of Deucalion and Pyrrha in the Greek mythology.
