( 1479 ) Inkeri is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 16 February 1938 by the Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku.

Named the asteroid after a niece and a granddaughter of the explorer, and based on the primeval Finnish region of Ingria.
