(148209) 2000 CR105 is a Transneptunisches object that was discovered on February 6, 2000 by Marc W. Buie under the Deep Ecliptic Survey program with the 4-meter Mayall telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory ( Arizona). It is after Eris and Sedna is currently on third farthest from the sun object in our solar system, the orbits on a very elongated ellipse in 3367 years the sun.

As in 2003 discovered Sedna in particular the sun distant asteroid from other Scattered disk objects differs in that its perihelion distance is no longer within the immediate gravitational influence of the planet Neptune.
