( 15003 ) Midori is an asteroid of the main belt, which by Japanese astronomers Takao Kobayashi at Oizumi Observatory (IAU code 411) was discovered in the Japanese prefecture of Gunma, on 5 December 1997.

The celestial body named on 27 April 2002 by the Japanese violinist Midori Gotō (* 1971 ), which already debuted the age of eleven with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and since 2004 as a professor of violin at the Jascha Heifetz - Chair of Music at the Thornton School of Music ( University of Southern California) teaches.
