( 1550) Tito is an asteroid in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter. It was discovered on 15 October 1936 by the Serbian astronomer Milorad B. Protić. The asteroid was named after the Second World War, after Josip Broz Tito.

Features

Its exact composition was determined by high-resolution spectral analysis in 1995 and 2002, which Tito could be classified as S- type. Accordingly, the major portion of its composition of silicates and its albedo is expected to be between 0.15 and 0.25. Tito has an eccentricity of 0.313. The inclination of its orbit plane to the reference plane is about 8.86 °.
