15th Screen Actors Guild Awards
The 15th ceremony of the U.S. Screen Actors Guild Awards, awarded by the Screen Actors Guild each year in the fields of film ( 6 categories ) and television ( 9 categories), was held at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center on January 25, 2009. The so-called SAG Awards honor, in contrast for example to the Golden Globe, a film, television and ensemble actor and considered as an indicator for the upcoming Academy Awards. Be crowned the winners of the members of the Screen Actors Guild, which you must be a member to work in the U.S. as an actor.
The nominees were announced Screen in Los Angeles ' Pacific Design Center 's Silver Theatre from the actors Angela Bassett and Eric McCormack on December 18, 2008.
Doubt ( Doubt ) received five nominations, the highest number of nominations in the film categories, for four performances, and one for ensemble performance. In the television categories were Boston Legal, 30 Rock, John Adams, Mad Men and The Closer with three the most nominations.
The winner of the evening was 30 Rock, who won in all three nominated categories. The Dark Knight won two nominated categories.
