(16766) Righi

( 16766 ) Righi is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 18 October 1996 by the Italian amateur astronomers Vittorio Goretti, from his private observatory in Pianoro from (IAU code 610).

The asteroid was named after the Italian physicist Augusto Righi (1850-1920) named, who continued the research of Heinrich Hertz and use these findings to his pupil Guglielmo Marconi inspired.
