( 18059 ) Cavalieri is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 15 December 1999 by the Italian-American astronomer Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory (IAU code 684) in Prescott, Arizona.

The asteroid was named after the Italian Jesuatenmönch, mathematician and astronomer Bonaventura Cavalieri (1598-1647), who taught at the University of Bologna and developed the principle of indivisibles and named after him Cavalierische principle.
