1841 Goshen Courthouse

The 1841 Goshen Courthouse is the former courthouse of the U.S. small town in Goshen, New York. It was erected in 1841 by the renowned local architect Thornton Niven in neoclassical style in the center of the village. Niven designed the building as a twin building to the courthouse in nearby Newburgh, which at that time divided the county seat of Orange County Goshen.

By the year 1970, the building retained its function as a court, but then moved the lack of space in the newly built Orange County Government Center. Today the archives for the Orange County Genealogical Society is housed therein.

In 1975, the building on the National Register of Historic Places was recorded.
