The eleventh Wimbledon Championships were in 1886 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Worple Road instead. With just 16 players in the men and five for the women in the All- Comers Competition was recorded a subscriber negative record. William Renshaw did not occur due to a tennis elbow to defend their title.

Charlotte Dod, which prevailed in the women was 15 years and 285 days, the youngest Wimbledon champion of all time.

Men's Singles

The already 36 -year-old Herbert Lawford could in the absence of his rival William Renshaw win his only Wimbledon title. In the final he was already with 1:2 sets against Ernest Renshaw back, but could then decide the fourth and fifth set for themselves.

Women's Singles

In the All- Comers Competition were only five players. In the Challenge Round Charlotte " Lottie " Dod was able to prevail even at their first appearance at Wimbledon against last year's winner Blanche Bingley. Dod won so the first of five tracks up to 1893.

Men's doubles

Since the brothers Renshaw not competed in a double, it came in the final meetings between Herbert Wilberforce and Patrick Bowes -Lyon and James Herbert Crispe and E. Barratt - Smith. Wilberforce and Bowes-Lyon won in three sets 7:5, 6:3 and 6:2.
