1900–01 Football League

The Football League First Division in 1900/ 01 was the 13th season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. The Liverpool FC won with two points distance before the AFC Sunderland for the first time in club history the English Championship. Both Up The Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers could get the class. Instead, Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion had to play the course in the Second Division. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two newly promoted second division Grimsby Town and Small Heath.

A total of 386 players were used, with Notts County, Liverpool FC and Sunderland AFC with 18, the least and the Bolton Wanderers with 28 aufboten most players in league games. 105 newcomers were offset by 112 footballers who most recently came into play in the 1900/01 season.
