1901–02 Football League

The Football League First Division 1901/ 02 was the 14th season of the Football League First Division English as the highest football league. The AFC Sunderland won with three points behind before the Everton FC the fourth English championship in the club's history. Of the two climbers Grimsby Town and Small Heath only the club from Grimsby could get the class. In addition to Small Heath had Manchester City take the course in the Second Division. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two second-division promoted West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough FC.

A total of 420 players were used, with Notts County and Sunderland AFC with 19 the least and Aston Villa with 29 aufboten most players in league games. 145 newcomers were offset by 130 footballers who most recently came into play in the 1901/02 season.

In the following list, all players were listed who came for the Sunderland AFC in a league game for use during the 1901/ 02 season. It must be noted that in most cases a minimum number of games will be provided in English football to accept the official champion medal allowed. As regards the specific control before the introduction of the Premier League, there is lack of clarity, all the players with an asterisk (*) have been provided which have received no champion medal presumably because of their small contribution. In brackets the number of bets as well as the goals achieved are called.
