The 25th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1901 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Worple Road instead. With 30 players, the lineup for the ladies was as great as ever.

Men's Singles

Arthur Gore won his first of three Wimbledon titles with a victory over the defending champion Reginald Doherty.

Women's Singles

In the women's Charlotte Cooper won their fourth title. She defeated Blanche Bingley Hillyard in the Challenge Round in two sets.

Men's doubles

The brothers Doherty beat in the Challenge Round the Americans Dwight Filley Davis and Holcombe Ward 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 and 9-7.
