1904–05 in English football

The Football League First Division 1904/ 05 was the 17th season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. Newcastle United won with a distance points ahead of FC Everton for the first time in club history the English Championship. Due to the expansion in league the following season 1905/ 06 from 18 to 20 teams, there were no losers in this season. New additions should be added the second division team FC Liverpool and Bolton Wanderers.

A total of 413 players were used, which Small Heath with 19 the least and Nottingham Forest with 28 aufboten most players in league games. 112 newcomers were offset by 111 footballers who most recently came into play in the 1904/ 05 season.
