1908–09 Football League

The Football League First Division 1908/ 09 was the 21st season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. Newcastle United won by seven points adrift of Everton FC the third English championship in the club's one-story. Of the two climbers Bradford City and Leicester Fosse only the club was able to get to Bradford the class. Together with Leicester Fosse had Manchester City take the course in the Second Division. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two second-division promoted Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur.

A total of 506 players were used, with Notts County with 17, the least and Bradford City with 33 aufboten most players in league games. 139 newcomers were offset by 155 footballers who most recently came into play in the 1908/09 season.

The champion team of Newcastle United

In the following list, all players were listed who came for Newcastle United in a league game for use during the 1908/ 09 season. It must be noted that in most cases a minimum number of games will be provided in English football to accept the official champion medal allowed. As regards the specific arrangements prior to the introduction of the Premier League, there is lack of clarity, all the players with an asterisk (*) have been provided which have received no champion medal presumably because of their small contribution. In brackets the number of bets as well as the goals achieved are called.
