The spectator area of ​​the center court was expanded to 600 seats this year. Due to continuous rains, the tournament had to be extended into the third week into it.

Arthur Gore defended his title in the Challenge Round against Josiah Ritchie. At 41 years and 182 days he was the oldest winner in the men's singles.

Dora Boothby won with a victory over Agnes Morton their single title.
