1918–19 NHL season

The NHL season 1918/19, was the second season of the National Hockey League. The season was played in a preliminary round with ten games and a second half with eight games. In the preliminary round, each team completed 20 games. The season was originally planned in two halves, each with ten games. But were the withdrawal of the Toronto Arenas due to financial problems in the second half only eight games played. Montreal's leading scorer the previous season Joe Malone brought it this season only ten games. He had taken up a profession in Quebec. Since only two teams in the league remained a best-of - seven series was first held, with the winners to the master of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association met for the Stanley Cup winners to be determined. There, the Montreal Canadiens met the Seattle Metropolitans.
