1919–20 NHL season
The NHL season 1919/20, was the third season of the National Hockey League. The season was played in a preliminary round and a second round with twelve games. The Ottawa Senators won both halves of the season and therefore did not qualify for the finals. It was again the Seattle Metropolitans of the opponents. Ottawa won the finals series 3-2 and secured by the Stanley Cup. The Quebec Bulldogs now took on the operation of gambling and recovered their players. The team of the Toronto Arenas was sold to a group led by Fred Hambly. The team was originally to be renamed in Tecumseh, then the decision was made, however, for Toronto St. Patricks. Joe Malone joined the new team in Quebec and was again top scorer. In Toronto, appeared on one of the first " bad boys " of the NHL with Cully Wilson. In the PCHA he was expelled after he had a player of the Vancouver Millionaires broken with a cross check the cheekbone. In the NHL he was in 23 games 86 minutes in the penalty box.
