1921–22 in English football

The Football League First Division 1921/22, was the 30th season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. The Liverpool FC won six points behind Tottenham Hotspur before the total third English championship in their history. Both promoted FC Birmingham and Cardiff City could get the class; instead had to Bradford City and Manchester United to transition into the Second Division compete. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two newly promoted second division Nottingham Forest FC and Stoke.

A total of 603 players were used, with the Middlesbrough FC Bradford City and the fewest with 33 aufboten with 21, most players in league games. 196 newcomers were offset by 175 footballers who most recently came into play in the season 1921/22.
