( 19263 ) Lavater is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on 21 July 1995 by the German astronomer frankness Börngen at the Thuringian State Observatory Tautenburg (IAU code 033).

The asteroid was named after the Swiss priest, philosopher and writer Johann Caspar Lavater - named, who lived during the Enlightenment and greatly influenced the political and religious life of his contemporaries (1741, 1801 ).
