1927–28 Football League

The Football League First Division in 1927/28 was the 36th season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. Everton won with two -point lead over Huddersfield Town the third English championship in their history. Of the two climbers FC Middlesbrough FC Portsmouth just as the south coast club Portsmouth could get the class; with the Middlesbrough FC Tottenham Hotspur had to take the course in the Second Division. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two second-division promoted Manchester City and Leeds United.

A total of 542 players were used, with the Portsmouth and Newcastle United, as well as the fewest Derby County with 29 aufboten 20 most players in league games. 131 newcomers were offset by 132 footballers who most recently came into play in the 1927/28 season.
