1927 South American Championships in Athletics
The V. Athletics South America Championships were held until April 19 in Santiago de Chile on 14. The team competition was won by the Chilean team with 77 points against the team of Argentina with 66 points and the Uruguayans with 1 point. The most successful athlete was the Chilean long-distance runner Manuel Plaza, which again won four titles and now with a total of twelve tracks still was the most successful athlete.
