1933 Mitropa Cup

The Mitropa Cup in 1933 was the 7th edition of the international Cupwettbewerbs for club teams in the Central European football. It was attended by the best teams in Austria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Italy. It was mostly for the championship and cup winners of the respective countries. The participants played in the Cup mode with pure round-trip playing in the major continental football competition in the period before the Second World War. If tied after two games a play was performed. All eight clubs started in the first round or in the quarterfinals. The defending AGC Bologna did not qualify at the national level to participate surprisingly.

The final took place within a week on 3 and 8 September 1933, Milan and Vienna. It qualified the Italian club AS Ambrosiana Inter Milan and the Austrian club FK Austria Wien. At home, the Milan could win in the final first leg 2-1, but were subject to in the second leg of the Vienna Austria 1:3, so the winner's trophy was won for the third time by a Viennese club. Scorer were four players who all achieved five goals this time. These were to Raimundo Orsi Juventus and František Kloz of Sparta Prague, which achieved your goals in four games and to Matthias Sindelar of the winning team and finalists from the Giuseppe Meazza in Milan who needed six games.

The first legs were held on 21, 22 and twice on June 25, the return matches on July 2, twice on June 29 and again on July 2, 1933 instead.
