1936 Balkan Cup

The 7th Balkan Cup was a competition for national football teams of countries from the Balkan region. The games found in May 1936 the second time in the history of competition after 1933 in Romania's capital Bucharest instead. It should also be the last edition of the Balkan Cup before the Second World War. Addition to the host again Greece and Bulgaria participated in the tournament, defending champions of Yugoslavia was missing, however. Each team played in group mode once against each other. At the end of the Romanians were with two wins at the top and were with their third overall title in this competition once again the sole record holder. Second place went to Bulgaria before Greece. Was top scorer of the Romanian Alexandru Schwartz ( four hits).
