1937–38 AHL season
The season 1937/38, was the second regular season of the International - American Hockey League ( from 1940 American Hockey League - AHL ). During the regular season, seven teams contested every 48 games. The six best teams in the league then played in a play-off round to the Calder Cup.

Calder Cup Playoffs

For the play-offs, the six best teams in the American Hockey League qualified. While the two division winners received a bye in the first play-off round, were the other four teams qualified to from the first play-off round. The first two play-off rounds found in the best-of -three mode stattn. The final itself, however, was played in the best- of-five mode.
