1938–39 Football League

The Football League First Division 1938/39, was the 47th season of the Football League First Division English as the highest football league and also the last full season before the outbreak of World War II, after an interruption of the official match operation to resumption in the 1946/47 season pulled. Everton won by four points on the Wolverhampton Wanderers now his fifth English championship. Both climbers Aston Villa and Manchester United were able to get the class; instead had to play the course in the Second Division of the FC Birmingham and Leicester City. These two teams should be in the 1946/47 season, replaced by the two second-division promoted Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United.

A total of 531 players were used, with Aston Villa and Portsmouth, the least and the FC Birmingham with 32 mustered 20 most players in league games. 122 newcomers were offset by 328 footballers who most recently came into play in the season 1938/39.

In the following list, all players were listed who came for Everton FC in a league game for use during the season 1938/39. It must be noted that in most cases a minimum number of games will be provided in English football to accept the official champion medal allowed. As regards the specific arrangements prior to the introduction of the Premier League, there is lack of clarity, all the players with an asterisk (*) have been provided which have received no champion medal presumably because of their small contribution. In brackets the number of bets as well as the goals achieved are called.
