1939 Mestaruussarja – Finnish League Championship

The Mestaruussarja 1939 was the tenth season of the Finnish Mestaruussarja in football.

The season was canceled shortly before the end because of the Second World War and evaluated the intermediate state of the table as the final table. The Relegation also did not take place, so that the victims clubs Kuopio PT and Reipas Viipuri were.

Champion last year's runner- Turku PS defending champions HJK Helsinki.

The following year, the championship was held in the Cup mode as before 1930.

Of the eight teams were starting four from Helsinki and one each from Turku and Viipuri ( Vyborg ), Kuopio and Vaasa.

Relegated: Kuopio PT and Reipas Viipuri Movers & Shakers: Sudet Viipuri and Helsinki KIF

Scorer

Aatos Lehtonen from HJK Helsinki was for the fifth time in a row with 15 goals ( in 13 games ) scorer of the Mestaruussarja.
