(194 ) Prokne is an asteroid of the main asteroid belt, which was discovered on 21 March 1879 by Christian Heinrich Friedrich Peters.

Of the heavenly bodies was named after Procne, according to Greek mythology, a daughter of King Pandion I of Athens.
