1942–43 AHL season
The season 1942/43, was the seventh regular season of the American Hockey League ( AHL ). During the regular season, eight teams in the league should each 56 games contest, but questioned the New Haven Eagles after only 32 games for financial reasons, the operation of gambling one. The top six teams in the AHL then played in a play-off round to the Calder Cup.

- The Philadelphia Rockets stopped the game operation
- The Springfield Indians stopped the game operation
- The New Haven Eagles presented in the course of the season a game operation

Calder Cup Playoffs
Mode
For the play-offs, the six best teams in the American Hockey League qualified. The two winners of the duels of the teams ranked two to four came together in the second round, while the winner of the duel between the two division winners qualified automatically by a bye to the final. The first two play-off rounds took place in the best-of -three mode, with the two division winners in the Best-of -Seven mode played for the finals. The final itself was played in best- of-five mode.
