1944 Mestaruussarja – Finnish League Championship
The Mestaruussarja 1943/44, was the 13th season of the Finnish Mestaruussarja in football.
It was played only one season so far. After 7 days of game three clubs had nine points, so that a decision game was played. First of two clubs from the labor union had participated TUL: but MKV TPV Tampere Turku and retreated to the end of the season and the table was recalculated without the results of other clubs with the TUL clubs.
Champion IFK Vaasa that the decider against Turku PS clearly won with 5:1.

Of the eight teams were starting four from Helsinki (including Sudet Viipuri, that had its home games unsubscribe due to the war in Helsinki), two from Vaasa and one each from Turku and Kuopio.

Urho Teräs (Turku PS) and Leo Turunen ( Sudet Viipuri ) shared the space of scorer with nine goals each.
