1946–47 IHL season
The season 1946/47, was the second regular season of the International Hockey League. During the regular season, five teams denied each of 28 games. In the play-offs, the Windsor Spitfires prevailed and won the first Turner Cup in their history.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Windsor Gotfredsons changed their name to Windsor Staffords.
- The Detroit Metal Mouldings were added as an expansion team in the league
