1947 Balkan Cup

The 9th Balkan Cup was a competition for national football teams of countries from the Balkan region. The Games were held from May to October 1947 and formed at the same time the so-called " Central European Cup ." This year, there were no fixed hosts, instead each team played each two home and away games. Like last year, took Albania, Bulgaria, Romania and Yugoslavia in the tournament. Added to this was Hungary, which was the first time ever at the start. Each team played in group mode once against each opponent. The title secured Hungary, which won the opener in Yugoslavia his last three games without conceding a sovereign and after the 3-2 win and with Ferenc Deák ( five goals ) also presented the scorer. Defending Albania however, lost all the games this year and finished last.
