1949–50 Czechoslovak Extraliga season

The season 1949/50, the first league was the seventh regular hosting of the highest Hockey Class of Czechoslovakia. With 12 out of 14 victories and a total of 24 points, the ATK Prague prevailed sovereign. For the capital city, it was their first Czechoslovakian league title at all.

Mode

As in the previous season the league was held in a common main round of teams. The introduction of round-trip game league wide, the total number of matches per team was in the main round now 14 games and twice as many as last year. Master was the first main round. The two last- placed teams from rose.

Best scorer of the league was Augustin Bubník of Master ATK Prague, who scored 26 goals in the 14 games of his team.

1st League qualifier

The teams of ZSJ Slavia Pardubice, ZSJ CSSA Prostějov, Rovnost / Meteor České Budějovice and Tatry Poprad played in a simple round for admission to the first league for the following season. Here, the first two of these (one point each) set with six and four points ahead of Meteor and Tatry Poprad through.
