1949–50 Swedish Division I season
The season 1949/50, was the sixth season of Division 1 as the highest Swedish hockey league. Champion of Södertälje SK. Nacka SK, UOIF Matteuspojkarna, Västerås SK and Atlas Diesels IF were relegated to the second division.
Mode
In the main round of the league was divided into two groups ( North and South). Each of the six teams in each group completed a total of ten games. The two group winners met in the championship final. The two last placed each group went directly into the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
