1951–52 Football League

The Football League First Division 1951/52, was the 53rd season of the Football League First Division as the highest English football league. Manchester United won four points ahead of the coming from London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal now his third English championship. Both newly promoted Preston North End and Manchester City could get the class; instead had to Huddersfield Town and FC Fulham take the course in the Second Division. These two teams should be in the following season replaced by the two second-division promoted Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff City.

A total of 507 players were used, with Preston North End, with 19, the least and the Portsmouth with 28 mustered the most players in league games. 117 newcomers were offset by 98 footballers who most recently came into play in the season 1951/52.
