1951 World Table Tennis Championships
The 18th World Table Tennis Championship was held to 11 March 1951 in Vienna ( Austria ) from 3.
General
Germany took the first time after the Second World War part again. To enable this had several conditions are met:
The Saarland is " good standing Member" in the ITTF.
The East German Schneider / Horn reached the quarterfinals in mixed doubles, were subject here but the later World Champions Vana / Rozeanu. Richard Bergmann could not defend his title because the English Table Tennis Association ETTA imprisoned him for unauthorized competitions in South Africa.

- In the English women's team play with Diane Rowe (later wife of Eberhard Scholer ) and Rosalind Rowe twins. You also win the World Cup in doubles.
- The Austrian Waldemar Fritsch won with the help of his sponge covering all the games in the team competition.
- On the taking place during the World Cup ITTF Congress of the Hungarian Zoltán Mechlovits appointed ITTF Honorary Member.
- The Yugoslav Tibor Harangozo was coach of the Austrian national team.
- For the Table Tennis World Championships in Vienna, the Post uses a special from 3 to 11 March 1951.
