1952–53 NHL season
The NHL season 1952/53, was the 36th season in the National Hockey League. Six teams each played 70 games. The Stanley Cup won by the Canadiens after a 4-1 victory in the final series against the Boston Bruins. At exactly ten years after his first goal, " The Rocket " Maurice Richard scored his 325th goal and thus led to the eternal scoresheet. On October 9, the first game was broadcast on Canadian television.
