1953–54 IHL season
The season 1953/54, was the ninth regular season of the International Hockey League. During the regular season, nine teams 64-65 games contested. In the play-offs, the Cincinnati Mohawks prevailed and won the second Turner Cup in their history.

Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Johnstown Jets of the Eastern Amateur Hockey League were included as an expansion team in the league.
- The Louisville Shooting Stars were added as an expansion team in the league.
- The Marion Barons were added as an expansion team in the league.
