1953–54 NHL season
The NHL season 1953/54, was the 37th season in the National Hockey League. Six teams each played 70 games. The Stanley Cup won by the Detroit Red Wings after a 4-3 victory in the final series against the Montreal Canadiens. Montreal undertook from Quebec Jean Béliveau. He received a record amount of $ 100,000 for a five- year contract. Due to injury, he was only 44 games contest. He could only prove in the coming years its value.
