1953 Davis Cup

The 1953 Davis Cup was the 42nd edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national teams in tennis. The competition was divided into three continental zones of Europe, the discharged America and the Eastern zone. The winners of the zones played a qualifier to win the final.

In the playoff tournament, the U.S. against Belgium and India prevailed, but failed in the subsequent 28 held until December 31 finale at defending champion Australia with 2:3. It was the most eleventh title in Australia.

Final

In the final between defending champions Australia and the United States, Australia prevailed 3-2. It was the tenth final of the U.S. against Australia in series. Australia won the eleventh song so far.
