The Divizia A 1953 was the 16th season in the history of Romanian football league Divizia A. Meister was as in the previous CCA Bucharest.
Regulate
The Divizia A played with 12 teams. The last place teams got into the Divizia B, while three teams ascended as the Divizia A was increased to 14 teams. For a victory, there were two points for a draw and one point for a loss no points.

2 CA Câmpulung Moldovenesc pulled his team back to the first round and broke up.
