(1953 ) Rupertwildt is an asteroid of the main belt, the astronomers of the Indiana Asteroid Program at Goethe Link Observatory ( IAU code 760) was discovered in Brooklyn in the State of Indiana on 29 October 1951.

The asteroid is named after the American astronomer Rupert Wildt German (1905-1976) named the 1966 Award for his research on energy transport in the photosphere of the Sun with the Eddington Medal.
