1954–55 Oberliga (ice hockey) season
The season 1954/55 the ice hockey league was the seventh season of the highest German Hockey League. German champion EV Fussen, who was thus able to win his third championship in a row. Stay out of the league had the newbie Mannheimer ERC, which was replaced by the Düsseldorf EC. As the runner-up the promotion round, the TEV Miesbach, renounced the relegation match, the penultimate SC Weßling could keep the class without a fight.

Mode
Like last year, the German champions was played in a single round, so each club each played one home and one away match against the other teams. The last placed rose at the end of the season off right out of the league and was replaced by the first of the promotion round, during the penultimate of the league had to defend in the relegation against the runner-up the promotion round his starting place in the top division.
