1955–56 Polska Liga Hokejowa season
The 1955/56 season was the first season of the Playoff Final, the highest Polish Hockey League, and 21 host the Polish Ice Hockey Championship. Champion for the seventh time total in club history Legia Warszawa. Gwardia Bydgoszcz and Katowice Gwardia descended into the 2nd league.
Mode
In the main round each of the eight teams completed a total of 14 games. The winner of the main round was champion. The two last placed descended into the 2nd league. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
