1955 NBA draft

The NBA Draft 1955 was conducted on 13 April 1955 in New York City, New York. In 14 rounds, the eight NBA teams were able to secure the rights to a total of 95 junior players.

Dick Ricketts was drafted in the first place by the Milwaukee Hawks. Second Maurice Stokes was drafted, the behind the NBA Rookie of the Year Award won. Dick and Tom Gola Garmaker were drafted as territorial picks.

For this year were three players Maurice Stokes, Tom Gola, and Jack Twyman added into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. KC Jones, who was drafted by the Minneapolis Lakers, first played in the NBA after he was picked again for the NBA Draft in 1956 by the Boston Celtics.
