1956–57 Czechoslovak Extraliga season

The season 1956/57, the first league was the 14th regular hosting of the highest Hockey Class of Czechoslovakia. With 41 points after the main round of Rudá Hvězda Brno prevailed. For the team it was her third Czechoslovak championship.

The teams of Dukla Jihlava, Banik Ostrava OKD, Tatra Smíchov and Spartak Královo Pole played in a simple round for admission to the first league or the whereabouts in this for the following season.
