1956–57 Soviet League season

The season 1956/57, was the eleventh season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for the first time ever Krylia Sovetov Moscow, which won 29 of his 30 games while Burewestnik Moscow relegation to the second division.

Mode

The 16 teams in the Klass A played in the main round in return match against each group opponent, limiting the number of matches per team was 30. Champion was the team with the most points. The-table rose from the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
